I've been working (teaching, business presentations, meetings) from home the last 7 months, and have gone through several different combinations trying to find an option that works for me.I started with the basic wired over-the-ear headset. Then, during a board presentation I dropped my Apple Pencil and the headset went flying off my head when I bent over to pick it up. As soon as that meeting ended, I was shopping for wireless options. First, I bought AirPod pros. Those work great if you are a Mac user - but on Windows they work great for sound output, or great for sound input, but don't try to use them for both simultaneously. So, I added an inexpensive wireless microphone to my collection. Getting it set up on Windows was painful, but I managed to make it work. But the lavaliere mic wouldn't pick up my voice at sufficient levels and the over the head option was uncomfortable after awhile. Plus every now and then for no apparent reason my AirPods would stop working with this setup - always in the middle of a class. When I saw a refurbished version of this for a very reasonable under $40 - I jumped at the chance to try it out. HINT #1: To get the best experience, make sure you download the Jabra Direct App and update any drivers that need updating. After I got this headset working I immediately ordered a second one for my daughter. What I like about it:1) it feels more secure than the AirPods, so I'm not constantly pushing it back into my ears. My daughter taps with the headset in and reports it stays in place just fine.2) it just works with Windows. After everything I went through with the other items I bought and Windows - that's a welcome relief.3) It works with the iPhone and the Macbook Pro, according to my daughter. I've only used with my Windows PC.4) Sound quality is good enough for meetings, not terrible for music.5) Battery life is long enough that I don't have to remember to charge it before my classes.6) I can walk into my kitchen, two rooms away, and still hear what's going on in the meeting (great for endless webinars). What I dislike:1) It takes about 2 hours to charge. This seems to be the same regardless of how often I charge it.2) every now and then I get strange feedback. I think it's when the person on the other end is listening to me through speakers - they don't get the feedback, just me. And it's not all the time.3) It's a heavy wire - you have to get it to settle into the position you want by creatively storing it so the wire bends a bit.
