I was very spectacle about it because of the price compared to others but it had preformed perfect for hauling cars and trucks!I got it on a great deal so I saved $150 I didn’t care if it was blue because I have that blue as trim on the inside of the jeep. I got it mounted and have to finish the wiring but so far it’s as advertised. A 13000lb winch for $250I installed this on my winch bumper, and immediately the thing stopped working. I hooked it up to the battery, drew out some line and applied the spool in button, and for a split second it whirred to life, but then immediately died. Now, the button only clicks both to spool in and to spool out. Don’t waste your money.I’m going to attempt some troubleshooting, and maybe I can get it working again. I’ll update if I can.EDIT:I’ve determined what my problem was, and the wing appears to work fine now. The winch requires a VERY solid ground. Grounding the winch to the frame, or to anything other than the battery terminal itself will result in it not working. If your winch is spooling in slowly, or won’t spool in at all (but the solenoids click when you press the button) then check your ground. I got the jumper cables out of the back and hooked it up that way and it worked fine.If any other problems arise, I’ll update this review furtherEasy to install Two remotes and hardwiredThe installation is simple but the operation is not. I'm on the 2nd one 1st one was junk, so they sent me another. Its not any better. Now the 2 times I was able to use them there ability to operate in the parameters that are in its range, no so great. Really I would say definitely pass on this on and save a bit more and get a bigger stronger one.Installed a month ago. Used once already for extracting another truck stuck in mud and works well. Line speed is faster than my old Ramsey REP 6000. Instructions are worthless. Connect the three short large diameter leads to the posts on top of the winch motor, matching the wire color to the motor post color. Connect the small black wire from the control box to the bottom post on the winch motor. Connect the Negative battery wire to the bottom post on the motor. The Positive wire comes from the control box and is fairly long but did not reach the battery in my diesel 2021 Gladiator. I used a marine battery switch to extend the Positive lead and turn the winch off when not in use. Two things I did: I turned the control box around and I disconnected the wireless remote control unit inside the box (just personal preference)This winch seemed to be pretty good. I bought it a little under a year ago and had used it a couple of times, pulling branches and such. The wireless remote is great. You can stand clear of danger from rope or cable breakage. Safety stuff, you know. One day I was pulling on a branch and heard a pop. The winch was no longer working. I finally got around to taking it apart to find out what happened, and the spool had broken. A little strange I thought. So I wanted to contact Reindeer to see if I could get a new spool but I can't find contact information anywhere. Unless I am ordering a new winch. But, if it's just going to break and I can't get support, what's the point?Update: I finally did get support, and they sent a new winch out.
